Benjamin Reed completed his Ph.D. with Prof. Darrell Long on SCARED/BRAVE secure network disks. After spending several years as a Research Staff Member at the IBM Almaden Research Center, he did a stint at Yahoo! Research before heading to a start-up that was promptly sold to Facebook. After five years at Facebook, he is now a faculty member in the Computer Science department at San José State University.
