Q&A
What kind of music do you like, do you have a favorite artist?
I enjoy a variety of music, including Bollywood songs by renowned composers like Shankar Mahadevan and A.R. Rahman, as well as Western artists ranging from classic rock bands like The Beatles and Guns N' Roses to contemporary groups like Imagine Dragons.
What do you like to do in your free time/ do you have any hobbies?
In my free time, I love hanging out with friends, listening to music, and engaging in outdoor activities, especially hiking on the beautiful trails in Santa Cruz.
What is your research about?
My research primarily revolves around storage systems, with a focus on utilizing emerging storage technologies to improve both performance and efficiency in data center workloads. I explore innovative technologies like Compute Express Link (CXL), which integrates storage devices directly into the memory hierarchy, enabling them to function as working memory. My work also involves enabling multi-tenancy on high-capacity SSDs and analyzing applications to determine their suitability for Computational Storage Offload.
What do you hope to do when you graduate (and when)?
I aim to graduate in Winter 2025. Post-graduation, I'm interested in working at an industrial research lab or pursuing a career in academia.
