Mitchell is a third-year master's student at UC Santa Cruz. He joined the CRSS in May 2021 and received a B.S. in Computer Science from UCSC in June 2022. He plans to graduate in December 2024. His research interests are in operating systems, storage systems, cloud computing, and data analytics. He is currently working on a research project with Prof. Andrew Quinn and Prof. Heiner Litz, dealing with analyzing the total cost of ownership of carbon in data centers.
